The Conqueror Worm

The Conqueror Worm

Gilgamesh in Los Angeles

Karen A. Romanko

The journey led to Los Angeles
for Gilgamesh, the king.
Part divinity, part mortal,
he didn't want to die.

So he searched the capital
of youth for the secret
to eternal life, but botox
was no secret and cryonics was no life.

He recognized the serpent's work
The two had met before
The snake would live forever
but Gil had found a home.
