Marina Lee Sable
Ancient goddess created
from primordial elements,
she rises from the tenebrous depths,
her black cloak glittering with stars.
Winged spirit of the night,
she sees everything held under
the spell of her darkling powers.
Mysterious mists and a will-o'-the-wisp
on a night time moor.
Two lovers kissing in the light of the moon.
The peaceful dream of a child.
A ghost on the stairs of its former home
haunting the residents who live there.
A sleeping baby in a crib.
A fight in the darkness of an alley,
the flash of silver and the blood that flows.
All night she flies across the sky
with her caliginous train
until dawn rises with its dusky glow
and then she returns to her underground
palace in the murky shrouds of another world.
In Tartarus, she awaits sunset when
she'll repeat her journey with the stars.
